Artist's Description
I took this shot some years ago on a quick trip to Atlanta, GA. It was our Delta Airlines pilot’s last flight before retiring, and he was give special permission to fly low around the San Francisco Bay. How fortunate I was to be on that flight, and this is the best and most interesting photo I got. It still thrills me to remember that flight.
About Beverly Read
Beverly Read was born and raised in the northern part of California, US. She grew up on a farm and early learned to ride horses and milk cows. In the early 1960's she graduated high school and went on to a year of college before going to work. She married and had two children. Later she lived in other parts of the US, but in 1984 returned to California. She currently lives in the mountains between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe with her husband, Ray. From the time Beverly started taking snapshots of family to the present she has always loved images. She graduated to better cameras and finally digital ones.
